Accenture interview questions for freshers

Hires at scale across every branch, not just CSE. The distinctive part is the AI-graded Communication Assessment: it is machine-scored on pronunciation, fluency and listening, and it eliminates candidates who would have walked through a normal HR round.

First gate: Cognitive & Technical Assessment — ~90 min · the main elimination gate. Clear this and the rest of the process is interviews.

The Accenture hiring process, round by round

What each stage tests, in the order you will face it. ASE & Advanced ASE drives.

  1. 1

    Cognitive & Technical Assessment

~90 min · the main elimination gate

Cognitive ability across Critical Reasoning, Abstract Reasoning and Verbal Ability, plus a technical block on pseudocode, CS fundamentals (networking, databases, security) and MS Office scenarios. Abstract reasoning catches people out — it is pattern recognition, not maths.

  2. 2

    Communication Assessment

    AI-graded spoken English · ~6 sections

Read-aloud, repeat, listen-and-answer and short spoken responses, scored by a machine rather than a person. Speak at an even pace into a decent mic; mumbling costs more marks than an imperfect accent.

  3. 3

    Coding Assessment

Pick one problem · C, C++, Java, Python or .NET

One problem from a set. Solving the standard-difficulty problem keeps you on ASE; the harder one is what moves you to the Advanced ASE band, so read both before you choose.

  4. 4

    Technical Interview

    One-on-one

Fundamentals plus your project or internship. Advanced ASE candidates get pushed into extending or debugging code and light design discussion.

  5. 5

    HR Interview

    15–30 min

Communication, intent to join, and flexibility on role and location. It also influences where you land inside the CTC band.

Which role you land

The same process routes into different tracks at Accenture. What separates them is usually one section of the test.

ASE

Standard Associate Software Engineer track.

Advanced ASE (11A)

Higher band — the coding round is graded against a harder problem.
